Groundforce has introduced a new wireless remote condition monitoring system that simplifies real-time measurement of static loads and monitors potential movements in sensitive structural support applications. The new wireless system, known as FlatMesh™ from Senceive, uses wireless nodes with the Groundforce load pins, which pass their signal from one to another, meaning that only one of the nodes needs to have clear contact with the 3G gateway module, in order for all readings to be taken.

Excavation Safety involves the removal of materials (usually soil) to dig into the ground, creating space for a variety of construction works. This ranges from installing building foundations, to creating trenches that allow pipework and other utilities to be laid. Excavations carry a variety of health and safety risks, ranging from cave-ins to falls, and these dangers must be mitigated accordingly.

Temporary Bridges are used to provide site access for construction vehicles and operatives. They are generally between four and twelve meters long, and can be flat-packed for easy transportation and storage.

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has embarked on its Ground Development Masterplan with the building of a new Warner Stand at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The new stand will have 2,656 seats, a new match-control and match officials’ facility, and a restaurant, three bars and catering facilities. It will have ground-source heat pumps to heat water, and photovoltaic roof panels generating electricity, as well as rainwater collection and recycling and "green" or living walls.
