CAT & Genny Cable Avoidance Tools
C.A.T. and Genny systems have been designed to increase the likelihood of detecting and therefore avoiding the striking of underground services and utilities. The Cable Avoidance Tool (C.A.T.) is used to locate buried cables, telephone lines and pipes on groundworks, excavation, and construction sites. The C.A.T. can detect the signals that radiate naturally from metallic services and works in combination with a Signal Generator (Genny) that utilises a unique signal that the C.A.T. can detect.
The use of the C.A.T and Genny as a detection tool has become the standard in construction; delivering best industry standards by preventing damage to services and avoiding personal injury: two innovative tools, engineered to deliver a step change in capabilities with minimal change in work practices or training requirements. Note: for purposes of this user guide, the gC.A.T4 and eC.A.T4 will be referred to as the C.A.T. from this point forwards.
Key Features:
- Locate buried cables, telephone lines and pipes
- Data can be backed up on PC and be stored for a year on the device
- Connectivity to the C.A.T cloud based system for near real-time monitoring
- Signal boost function enables the Genny4 signals to travel further and deeper
