About

This course is designed for delegates who need to conduct Quantitative (APC) Face Fit Testing for their company using a TSI Portacount. Quantitative Face Fit Testing (QNFT), also known as Ambient Particle Counting (APC) or the "Portacount" method, provides a numerical assessment of the Respiratory Protective Equipment’s (RPE) seal or effectiveness, referred to as the fit factor. Referred to as the "train the tester" course, this program is extensively based on the HSE’s INDG479 and is supported by the relevant "FIT2FIT Companion". The course includes comprehensive coverage of RPE selection, inspection, donning and doffing, pre-use checks, fit test theory and limitations, fit test methods, equipment usage, diagnostics, and an introduction to relevant legislation, ACOPs, and guidance documents.
