Plant and Vehicle Marshaller

This course will help to minimise vehicle reversing incidents on-site through an understanding of the System of Controls for plant and vehicle movements. This will include the Risks associated with uncontrolled plant, and vehicle movements, Role and duties of a Plant and Vehicle Marshaller, Risks to own and others safety when acting as a Plant Vehicle Marshaller, Measures to be adopted to ensure own and others safety and the Ability to demonstrate recommended HSE code of signals and reversing procedure. 'Nearly a quarter of all deaths involving vehicles at work occur reversing vehicles' (HSE, 2018)
