With an ever growing emphasis on Health and Safety and in particular, working at height, Groundforce's safety-led approach to new products has led to the creation of the SiteSafe range of safety products, to compliment a market leading portfolio of excavation support systems.

EdgeSafe

EdgeSafe is a lightweight mesh barrier system designed to provide light duty edge protection to a trench box, sheeted or timbered excavations. It can be used on short or long continuous runs and has been designed in accordance with BS EN 13374: 2004 Class A.

StepSafe

StepSafe is a temporary, self-levelling, site stairway system that provides a quick and safe method of access/ egress to excavations, chambers and tanks or for negotiating slopes and embankments. The system operates in conjunction with Groundforce’s Premier LadderSafe platform and the specific function of the unit is to provide controlled access to and from the work place, at a fixed point, when conventional ladders are impractical.

EndSafe

EndSafe is a structural steel panel designed to close-off the end of a trench box or manhole box to safely retain the backfill and prevent accidental dislodgement of loose material into the excavation. They also provide a barrier to prevent unauthorised access to the excavation and remove the need to improvise with other unsuitable equipment such as steel road plates or timber.

SledgeSafe

SledgeSafe is a heavy duty mobile barrier intended to demonstrate hazardous working areas and provide localised protection to personnel on construction sites: the system complies with BS EN 13374: 2004 Class A.The heavy freestanding base unit incorporates the lightweight, flexible Groundforce EdgeSafe mesh barrier for ease of assembly.

A range of bespoke safety handrails are available for all Groundforce trench box systems.

Mini LadderSafe

Mini LadderSafe is a lightweight, temporary, gated access platform that uses a conventional ladder to gain access/egress to shallow excavations up to 4m deep. The system can be used on most trench sheet and steel pile profiles up to 25mm thick and on trench box panels up to 120mm plate width.

Maxi LadderSafe

The Maxi LadderSafe is a modular trench access system specifically designed for use with the Groundforce range of trench boxes. The system comprises a number of components, including the handrail/access head unit, clip on ladder extensions and stabilisers. A safety chain is provided at the entry/exit point for additional security. The system fits to most Groundforce box systems via various bolt on connection spigots.

Premier LadderSafe

Premier LadderSafe is a heavy duty, temporary, gated access platform which uses a conventional ladder to allow access or egress for medium-depth excavations typically up to 6m deep. Pole ladders are supplied separately.

Mega LadderSafe

The Mega LadderSafe system is intended as a temporary structure to allow safe access and egress to temporary excavations and shafts up to 9 metres deep. It is intended predominantly to be used in conjunction with sheet piled cofferdams but may be adapted for other support structures.

Shaft LadderSafe

Developed for concrete shafts and caissons, the system comprises heavy duty steel modular components which are readily installed by bolting multiple units together to the desired depth and then bolting the ladder modules to the concrete shaft wall using suitable anchor bolts.

Dual Access Platform

As an addition to the existing Premier LadderSafe Platform range, the Dual Access Platform is now available which provides access both up and over elevated structures, walls or pile caps. The platform is compatible with both our Tuffsteel Ladders and StepSafe site stairway and is accessible from both sides.

SurroundSafe

SurroundSafe is a range of platform units available to aid compliance with Working at Height Regulations during the placement of the concrete surrounds to manhole rings. The unit sits on top of the manhole rings and allows users to work safely at height whilst discharging concrete into manhole shutters. Each SurroundSafe is constructed of a combination of standard handrail panels, a single gate panel and a base panel.
