The Single Bar Pile Cropper is the chosen equipment when cutting square, pre-cast, single reinforcement bar piles. It is lowered onto the pile and using the excavators in-board hydraulics to operate the jaw, it cuts the pile every 200mm, causing the concrete to break away, exposing the rebar and a level finish. All that is left is to cut the rebar to the required height.

Range of Pile Croppers

Heavy Duty Cropper

The Heavy Duty Circular Pile Cropper is suitable for cutting piles from 1200mm to 2100mm. The cropper is a pinned modular design which offers maximum flexibility allowing it to be adjusted to suit different pile sizes on site. The Heavy Duty Cropper reduces cropping time from 2 hours to 10 minutes on an average 1200mm circular concrete pile compared with using hammers and breakers.

Multi-Bar Cropper

The Multi-Bar Cropper also known as the square concrete cropper, is the chosen piece of equipment when cutting square pre-cast piles with up to eight rebar. The cropper is lowered over the pile in 300m increments until finished level is achieved. Square multi-bar croppers are easy to operate for cutting different size square pile sizes on site. Up to 200 piles can be processed per day, leaving the reinforcement intact with no cracks below the cut-off level.

Trench Cutter

This cropper has been successfully used in the housing industry when house footings have to be kept to a minimum, making considerable savings on concrete. The Trench Cropper is used for cutting cast in-situ and steel encased 200-400mm piles in a trench of only 700mm wide. This machine is unique to Mr Cropper and has become a favourite with Housing Groundworks Contractors who fully appreciate the saving on concrete that can be achieved compared to other Croppers on the market.
