Groundforce celebrates winning Health and Safety Company of the year award
Groundforce have won the coveted Health and Safety Company of the Year Award at the Machinery Movers Operators and Construction Awards 2018.
Finalists in two categories including Technology and Innovation, Groundforce’s sales engineer Jason Hunter collected the Health and Safety award on behalf of the team at a spectacular gala dinner held at the Mount Wolseley Hotel in Tullow, Co. Carlow.
According to the judging panel, the key factor for the award going to Groundforce was because they had produced award winning products with safety in mind.
Attracting more than 600 people, these awards are now regarded as one of the construction industry’s major occasions. A biannual event, they recognise excellence and outstanding achievements of individuals, operators and companies from across the construction and quarry machinery sectors.
Joseph Lenihan, General Manager for Groundforce said: “We are delighted and proud to be the recipient of this year’s Health & Safety award. Safety is at the core of our business and we continually strive to increase knowledge and awareness within the industry, particularly in the areas of excavation support and temporary works. Over the past 20 years, Groundforce has developed a culture of safety, rooted in knowledge sharing and best practice which is having a positive knock-on effect on the Irish construction sector and we are very pleased to receive recognition for what we have achieved”.
