Smaller training groups on the cards for the industry leader.
In response to even greater demand than normal, and after an extensive COVID-19 risk assessments, the nationwide training division of specialist construction supplier Groundforce has re-opened for business.
Groundforce Training, which is widely believed to be the industry’s leader in the delivery of best practice principles for the construction, civils and utilities sectors, will deliver training to smaller groups that will have to comply with Government and training industry safety guidelines.
This only comes after the training division itself carried out a comprehensive COVID-19 risk assessment and safe system of work (SSOW) specific to safety training, training locations, safety consultancy and training centres.
Safety measures will include ensuring that candidates, suppliers and visitors attending the training centres of excellence receive a COVID-19 briefing. They will also be required to maintain social distancing at 2m where reasonably practicable.
Groundforce Training has also invested in additional specialist PPE equipment.
Chris Gearren general manager at Groundforce Training said: “Our clients were desperate to get back to work, and so were we, but to do so safely we have taken advice from our health and safety consultants, and appropriately put all the correct measures in place.”
Groundforce as a company continues to fully support and encouraging its staff working from home. They are working with industry and industry partners to share COVID best practice, and generally listening closely, providing empathy and continuing to provide best practice itself in customer service.
As the company moves from the emergency phase, to executing the re-boot phrase and plan for recovery, the welfare of its staff, customers and suppliers will remain its top priority.
